It’s Over - Finally!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Nope - not talking about that outrage going on in Mumbai - although - that is over as well - Thank God!  Apparently, the plan there had been in the making for over a year and they planned on killing over 5,000 people.  And, you guys on the left think that Islamofascists are nothing to worry about?  I figured enough bloggers have picked up on those stories since it started 3 days ago - I would report on other stuff.

What I’m talking about is that attempt by Al Franken to steal the election up in Minnesota by asking for voter information - which is so against our constitution, it’s not even funny.  Apparently, there are some smart judges up in Minnesotata.  They ruled against Franken saying that a.) the canvassing boards have already verified the rejected absentee ballots and therefore they are not subject to the recount (as it is supposed to be) and they rejected his request for the names, addresses, and phone numbers of the voters who voted by absentee ballot.  There is absolutely no reason inhell for any politician to have the names of voters and who they actually voted for.  This goes againts our voting privacy rights.  Oh..wait..that does sound kinda familiar doesn’t it?

Isn’t Obama planning on doing the same thing for the Unions?  Isn’t he planning on doing away with the secret ballots for unionizing?  It would make sense that Franken would believe he has access to voter ballots, names, addresses, and phone numbers if Obama is about to hand the same thing over to the Unions.

In any case, it’s a great day in Minnesota and in the U.S. when idiots like Franken get rejected for being such an idiot to think he could get away with something like that.

So, what did everybody else do for Thankgiving?

Published by BobO under Uncategorized Edit This

Well, the family and I enjoyed every bit of this day.  I figured, better late than never to get out here and post something up.  Surprisingly, I didn’t think about politics all day!  I need a holiday more often!  We had the kids over - ate a LOT of food - watched the parades and the ball games.  You know, when I was a kid, I remember the main Thanksgiving day football game was always the Dallas Cowboys versus the Washington Redskins (Cowboys and Indians).  What the hell happened with that tradition?  Did someone decide it wasn’t PC to pit cowboys against Indians on the day we’re supposed to be paying homage to the Pilgrims and Indians coming together?

Oh well.  Is there something we can do about having the Lions play every Thanksgiving?  They really suck!  It never fails, the triptophan from eating too much turkey always kicks in during the Lions game..in addition to the fact that game is always so boring - I always end up passing out on the couch for about an hour or two.  Just once, I’d like to try and stay awake through the whole day!

Well..there’s always next year!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  I hope you enjoyed your day of Thanks.

And yet - Achmudmuttjob fires off another one!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Is anyone out there paying attention?  I only hope this is just propaganda being sent out by the Iranians and that they really aren’t as far advanced as they say they are - cuz - I’m sure not hearing anything out of our officials about this stuff:

Iran reports rocket launch amid nuclear tension

Not only have they fired off a rocket!  Now, they’ve test fired two missiles that are capable of carrying a nuclear payload - now they’re firing off rockets capable of making it to the atmosphere and no one is saying anything?  Excuse me…hello?  Is this thing on?

Supposedly, once they have successfully test fired this rocket two more times, as long as it is successful, they plan on launching their own satellites as well.  Gee, can you please tell me if anyone else is out there making these connections?   They now say they have 5000 centrifuges up and running, they have successfuly fired of a long range ballistic missile, and now they have plans to put up their own satellite.  It sure sounds to me like they are getting closer to putting together a nuclear attack in the very near future!!

Is it just me? Here’s my prediction - if they actually do become successful with this rocket launch - Israel will be in the next day strafing the hell outta that country and blowing shit up…and…it’s gonna happen under Obama’s watch…and Obama is going to condemned Israel and will use this as an excuse to cut all ties with our greatest allies in the middle east.

The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

I don’t know who they’re trying to test - the lame duck President or the President-Elect!

Russia’s Medvedev’s Tough Guy Act

Just wonderful!   He’s announcing he’s sending warships off the coast of Venezuela - AND - he’s going to deploy missiles off the Polish border in response to our missile defense shield!  Can that get any better?

Venezuela’s Chavez welcomes Russian warships

Oh..I guess it can.  They’ve already put those warships out there.   Apparently, this is the first time in about 30 or so years that Russia has sent warships this close - and in the Caribbean waters at that!  They’re stating it’s wargame exercises with Venezuela after they sold Chavez those $Billions worth of weapons.  Hmmm…how the hell did Chavez get all that payola?  Oh..yeah..that’s right…FROM US because those dipshits up in D.C. refuse to allow us to drill for our OWN oil in our OWN country!

Well - with only two months left in this Presidency - all I can figure is this is a show of force for that Socialist that is coming in to office.  I hope he has the balls to stand up to this kind of brut action.  Seems to me that Joe Biden was right.  Obama is being tested - and it didn’t even take 6 months.  Hell - he’s not even in office yet and they’re already telling him to back off.

I am so glad you guys on the left voted in a pacifist wuss who has vowed to reduce our military and our nuclear armament!  With enemies like these off our coast - who needs a bomb shelter?

What? Am I like, Sir Spam-Alot or something?

Published by BobO under Uncategorized Edit This

Sir SpamalotHoly Hell Batman!  I’m getting close to 40 spam comments a day now!  I tried to keep this blog commenting entirely open so that my commentors could say their piece/peace without having to jump through hoops - but - alas, my friends - It looks like I’m going to have to turn that ReCaptcha thingy back on.

My e-mails have become inundated with all these stupid spam comments - some for absolutely nothing like xszyrburys and andksyidls then there’s my favorite from zksyidshi - seriously - if it isn’t wierd crap like that - then there’s always the ones for every freakin drug under the sun!

Seriously - does anyone here buy their Viagra, Cialis, or Cymbalta from spam comments?  So - even though I tried to use the spam filter and put everything, including the kitchen sink, in my filter - I still get close to 40 a day.  The  days of free-commenting are over folks.  Really sorry - but - for my sanity - I have to turn it back on!

So sorry!

BTW - anyone else having these spam issues or is it just me? :)

Where’s the ACLU on this?

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

I thought the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) was supposed to be about protecting the civil liberties of all persons?  I guess not!  I haven’t heard any news reports about the ACLU taking up this cause - I guess because it happened to a conservative guy:

Joe the Plumber case still Dripping

Yup - that Joe the Plumber!  Well, apparently there were six different state agencies who looked in to his personal records during the election cycle after he was able to get Obama to admit that he’s a socialist.

I would consider this a huge invasion of privacy on behalf of the government.  The government agencies had absolutely no right to be delving in to this guys public records at all.

The report linked above indicates they know for sure that the Department of Job and Family Services, The Ohio Department of Taxation, and The Ohio Attorney General did searches the day after the debates.  Go ahead and read that article - they are claiming reasons of privacy for not disclosing why they conducted the searches - WTF?  They’re trying to make excuses and reasons for validating their searches.

They are so full of it that it’s not even funny!  Seriously, ACLU!  Where the hell are you on this one?  I guess if he was trying to force his ex-wife to get an abortion you’d be all over that and trying to support him in his quest.  Or, better yet, had they done a search and found out he was a pedophile and a paying member of NAMBLA there would already have been a lawsuit filed against the state of Ohio.

And…now for something completely different!

Published by BobO under Uncategorized Edit This

Taking a break from the political blogging for tonight.  Okay - quite honestly, I finding trouble finding things to REALLY rant on since the election has ended.  It seems that all the topics at hand to blog about are already being blogged about.  If I blog about it - it’s just rehashing what everyone else is already say.  BUT — I came across this.  This is probably one of the funniest things I’ve seen.  It’s a guy talking about the difference between the male and female brain.

If for some reason you are unable to see the video - or it doesn’t load - you can go here to watch it.

While I was watching this - I could remember many times having a conversation with my wife - and - not being able to follow her. There have been so many times where she’s changed subjects on whatever we were talking about that she leaves me two or three topics behind. I’m responding to something she said - the answer turns out to be irrelevant - because she’s already moved on to something else - and my question or response made absolutely no sense at all.

I can also remember times when I just let my wife rant (which you will see is part of this video) where I’ve zoned out on something else - came back in - God knows how long I zoned - and she was still talking about something. I don’t really recall any of whatever she was ranting about - but - I do know that as long as I just sat there pretending to listen - it was A-Okay.

Anyway - watch this video all the way through - it’s hilarious. If you’re a male - you’ll recognize “the nothing box.” If you’re a female - you will certainly be able to relate!

Enjoy!

Obama’s buddy shootin’ off missiles again!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Looks like Muckymud Imanutjob is over there flexin’ his muscles again!  It was reported today that Iran tested  a couple new missiles .  These missiles, the Sejil, have a range of 1,900 kilometers - as compared to 1,200 kilometers of the Shahab.  Not only is Israel well within that range - but - so is much of Europe.

This is especially dangerous considering that a.) Obama has openly stated just yesterday that he will open straight talks with Iran without pre-conditions , and b.) Russia is continuing to make threats to Obama not to continue with Bush’s plans to put up the missile defense system in Poland that will protect Europe.

You guys on the left have just put this country in some serious harm!  Obama is willing to talk with terrorist states (which has been against American policy for decades) and you know his ass is going to back down from Russia since he hates our military.  He openly stated he will draw down our entire nuclear program.  I hope you guys are happy!

Iran is in serious position now to send a nuke directly in to Israel - and Obama has already stated he will not support Israel.  Iran is in serious position now to send a nuke directly in to Western Europe - and since he will not follow through with the missile defense system - our allies there are going to be left vunerable.  Russia is an ally to Iran - not the U.S.  Who do you think they will side with when Iran launches their nukes?

It didn’t take long at all for Obama to announce he’s going to take this country in the wrong direction!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Executive Orders!  One of the most powerful and important tools that a President has at his disposal.  These are orders issued by a President to either clarify his position regarding certain laws passed - or it is his way of canceling out a bill passed by Congress.

The Fat Beagle has a good post up that has a great definition of just what Executive Orders are.  Rather than rehash that here - I’m just suggesting you go check that out for yourself.

Never in the history of this country has an incoming President-elect announced the first order of the day will be to go through and review every Executive Order issued by the sitting President!  WTF?  Obama was NOT given a mandate by any reason of measure.  He announced today that one of the first EO’s that he will be reversing is Bush’s lifting of the ban on drilling in the OCS.  Is this man serious?  78% of this country overwhelmingly supports drilling for oil - not only in the OCS, but also in ANWR in Alaska.  I thought Obama was supposed to be FOR energy independence?  Perhaps he really is more beholden to the Muslims and those Arab countries.  After all, he still refuses to release his donor list - which speculation has it - includes a lot of donations from anti-Israel organizations, oil rich countries, and other radical muslim groups.

Back to the issue - What do you think was the reason that the oil and gas prices have been coming down?  It was the Congressional lift of the ban in conjuction with Bush’s lifting of the EO that prompted speculators to start down pricing oil in addition to the increased supply levels.  Inventory was up because people stopped buying gas.  As soon as Congress announced this past summer that oil companies could begin exploring and drilling in Florida - oil prices went down right away.

Now - we have some idiot socialist beholden to those eco-terrorists announcing he’s going to reverse that decision?  A decision that the vast majority of this country agreed with?  Just remember - that 52% of you that voted for him - you are getting exactly what you voted for.  Myself and many other conservative bloggers tried to warn you guys about him - but - you called it smear and attack.  We pointed you to his socialist and liberal record - but - you decided that the truth didn’t matter.

The reversal of that EO alone should be enough to send this country over the edge.  But, there are several other EO’s that Bush signed that related to GITMO, GWOT, Afghanistan, our national security, illegal immigration, and our national security - You can see the complete list here .

All of the above are those that Obama and those loony liberals in Congress have opposed Bush on since he came in to office, before and after Obama became a Senator.  If Obama reverses ANY one of those - he will weaken our country and open us back up for more attacks on this soil.

This guy is dangerous - and he announced today just how dangerous he is.  Are you paying attention?  I am. If anything happens to this country or our troops as a result of his reversals - he, the Democratic led congress, and you 52% who buried your heads in the sand will be the only ones to blame.

Did Obama appear nervous to anyone else other than me?

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

I have to admit - I did watch most of that speech today.  If anything - the man sure knows how to talk.  But, was it me, or did it seem he was a bit nervous today?  Considering he was given his first National Security briefing yesterday - and, now he has the inside scoop on the real dangers that GWB has been facing every morning - do you think it’s possible that he now realizes he might have to back-peddle on many of those promises he made regarding our troops, Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan?

While he was jovial throughout his speech - it seemed to me that perhaps some of those jokes were out of nervousness.  Seriously - considering how well groomed he’s been during the last 2 years - it was very unlike him to come up with such an off-color (no pun intended) joke regarding Nancy Reagan.  No - I’m not going to harp on it like the conservative talk radio shows have been - he did apologize.  But, he’s never been off his game like that during the entire election cycle.  Even when he was tired and going from one speech to another - there were moments when he hemmed and hawed - but - he never gaffed like that.

Next - regarding the substance of his speech - didn’t see any.  He’s the President elect now - don’t you think he could at least elaborate on what his plans are for the economy?  Surely, a stimulus package and a bailout for the auto industry can’t be it!  Personally - I think both of those plans are wrong.  Even if GWB had said it - I would still say its wrong.  I’m a firm believer in a true free-market capitalist system.  Let them fail.  Let the market work.  Regarding the stimulus - I’m not entirely convinced the first stimulus package worked - what makes him think another one would do anything?

Regarding him stating he would respond to the letter from Achmednutjob - that is an absolutely huge mistake!  This shows weakness to our enemies.  This also shows weakness to the Iranian people.  One of the things that makes the pro-American Iranians support us is the fact that we don’t take any shit from the Iranian leaders.  This is the same hard-line stance we should have been taking with all of those middle-east oil barrons.  We’re going to lose a staunch ally in Israel if he personally responds to that letter and tries to open unconditional dialogue over there.  Israel is an ally we cannot afford to lose in the Middle East.

Anyway - just my personal observations today - and - I do have to agree with him - he is a mutt!
