Obama had been asked by family not to wear that bracelet!

Published by BobO at 11:28 pm under politics Edit This

I’m sure by now, many on the left remember it quite fondly, those of us on the right remember it as “aw crap,” when John McCain, during Friday night’s debate, mentioned that he was wearing the bracelet of Cpl. Matthew Stanley - and his mother had asked him to make sure we win the war in Iraq and to make sure her son did not die in vain - Obama had his “I gotcha” moment when he revealed (although he stumbled in trying to remember the name) that he was wearing the bracelet of Sgt. Ryan David Jopek - and that HIS mother asked him to bring the troops home so that other parents would not have to suffer as she does.

Well - a big h/t to The Texas Pundit for finding this one posted at Gateway Pundit -

Family Told Obama NOT to Wear Soldier Son’s Bracelet…Where is the Media?

Barack Obama played the “me too” game during the Friday debates on September 26 after Senator John McCain mentioned that he was wearing a bracelet with the name of Cpl. Matthew Stanley, a resident of New Hampshire and a soldier that lost his life in Iraq in 2006. Obama said that he too had a bracelet. After fumbling and straining to remember the name, he revealed that his had the name of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek of Merrill, Wisconsin.

Shockingly, however, Madison resident Brian Jopek, the father of Ryan Jopek, the young soldier who tragically lost his life to a roadside bomb in 2006, recently said on a Wisconsin Public Radio show that his family had asked Barack Obama to stop wearing the bracelet with his son’s name on it. Yet Obama continues to do so despite the wishes of the family.

You know - that is just plain pathetic!  Not only are our politicians in D.C. playing games with our financial future - we have a Presidential candidate playing games with our honorable deceased troops - and taking advantage of a grieving family just to score points in a debate and on the campaign trail.  What a miserable waste of human flesh this guy has to be to do something as callous as that!  I have to ask that question too…Where is the media?  Apparently, it was as far back as March of 2008 that the family asked him to stop wearing the bracelet and to stop mentioning Jopek’s name during stump speeches.  Why isn’t the rest of the media reporting on this?  Oh…wait…nevermind…we already know the answer - because they’re in Obama’s back pocket!  They’re just as worthless as Obama for not bringing this to light.

But, I guess that wouldn’t matter either would it?  It seems that despite everything else that we’ve learned about Obama and his known ties to criminals, racists, marxists, and domestic terrorists, the loony left really don’t care because they want his form of socialism in this country.

pffftt!

How dare you imply that NBC has more authority than a conservative blogger, threedegrees!

Ha! But seriously, let’s stop comparing candidates’ jewelery and get our guys out of Iraq.

Okay - see - you guys ALWAYS miss the point. She’s being exploited and she doesn’t want to do anything to hurt the Obama campaign - so - she’s been backed in to a corner - so - of course she’s going to say that now!

Never trust the main stream media. Only conservative bloggers! We ALWAYS tell the truth!!! No spin here.
