So, what does McCain think he’s going to accomplish in 2 days?

Published by BobO at 9:16 pm under politics Edit This

As we have all heard by now, McCain will be suspending his campaign tomorrow morning so that he can work on the economy and the issues that the Democrats and government caused.  I just have to ask myself, what’s the point?  Congress ends this year’s session on Friday.  So, they only have 2 days to finalize the bill.  Still - what does McCain think he can possibly do since he is not even part of that committee?

Secondly, as I watch the President’s speech right now - I have to ask myself - why the hell should I pay for this bailout?  The Democrats and Obama’s economic advisors caused this problem.  Chris Dodd and Barney Frank caused this problem.  Why are they allowed to be on the committee?  I say - let the damn financial sector fail.  Our government and wall street caused this problem.  The liberals with their damned forced lending policies (no documents, no income verification, no down payments, no employment verification) on to private businesses are at fault.  I didn’t cause this problem - so, why should I pay for it?

They’re all assholes.  I say, vote all of the incumbents out in November - if you agree - join that blogroll over there to the right…and pass it on.

I say - let the economy reset itself, and lets WE the people RESET our government!

“I say - let the economy reset itself, and lets WE the people RESET our government!”

Spot on. The dumbshits that held the keys for the last eight years need to be ran out on a rail! Those slack jawed yokels have ruined America.

It’s nice to see you come out against your own party, and advocate a new order in Washington. If you like, I can send you some Obama campaign literature…

By the way, have you seen Rick Davis lately? Or Carly Fiorina? Or Tucker Bounds? Or Sarah Palin? I was looking forward to McCain on Letterman, but I hear he stiffed Dave to hang out with Katie “Softball” Couric.

BTW, every time you claim Obama ties with FnF, you just look like an idiot. They’ve all been debunked, and Johnson has been out of the picture for months, unlike Davis and Buce, who are still running the campaign. So just quit, it makes you look ridiculous.

I can’t help but notice you never seem to respond in regards to the 133 lobbyists McPalin has working for them. Or that his economic advisers have a way of really screwing things up.

Bill O is supposed to be an “independent conservative” too, but that doesn’t stop him from being a self-serving party hack. Maybe it’s time for a new role model, or at least a new identity.

3D - can you cite a single convicted criminal working for - or having worked for - the McCain/Palin campaign? Just what do you mean by screw things up? The economic advisors he has have been extremely successful in private industry.

As soon as there is evidence that McCain has the same kind of associations with criminals, slumlords, racist pastors, radical anti-semitic activists, domestic terrorists, and convicted businessmen - I will most certainly post it up here…but…they all seem to be democrats! :)

Oh..BTW - these outrageous executive compensation packages that everyone seems to be so up in arms about….Lehman Brothers, AIG, Bears & Sterns, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac..etc…all of the CEO’s are Democrats…hmmm?

In case you missed the response in a previous discussion - I hadn’t planned on voting for McCain. I actually do not like the guy. Like I said, I’m a conservative. McCain is equivalent to old school Democrats. He’s much further to the left than I am. However, once he chose Palin as his running mate - I was on board. I will continue to pull for them know until something comes out that will force back to writing in Fred Thompson. Right now, compared to Obama - McCain/Palin is the best choice. I don’t want to live in a socialist nanny state that Obama wants to try to force on us. I’m to proud to look for handouts from the government. I would rather rely on myself and my own ingenuity, education, and talents. I don’t need the government to help me out..but…I know how you dems rely on the government and need someone to blame for your failures rather than yourself…just like you refuse to see that Obama and his buds are the primary reason for the economic failure we find ourselves in now.

You really need to take a civics class. From 1993-2006, there was a Republican majority in Congress, and for seven of those years, there was a one party Washington. It takes 60 votes to bring a bill to the Senate, and 67 to override a veto. At no point in recent history have Dems had that majority. The 1999 GLB Act that destroyed Glass-Segall and opened up the market like a two dollar whore, and a failed conservative philosophy are responsible for this. Were there Dems involved? Sure. Does Chris Dodd need to be beaten? Most likely. But “Privatize the Profits, Socialize the Losses” is a theory of the right. After all this time of accusing Obama of having no Washington experience, how can this suddenly be his fault? And while McCain’s staff has yet to be indicted and convicted, don’t hold your breath, brother. The FBI investigation of FnF will lead straight back to Davis, who is still on the take(read Isikopf’s new article up on Newsweek’s site now), and the Alaska State Legislature is moving to press charges on McPalin for witness tampering in Troopergate. Carly Fiorina got a 40+million golden parachute after being fired from HP and leaving 20,000 workers left behind. Gramm is praying for this bailout because UBS stands to profit heavily. Palin’s lobbyist came out of Abramoff’s firm, and will be indicted soon. Palin herself may be looking at charges as well.

You don’t believe that an Obama Administration will put us in a socialist nanny state. I honestly don’t think you’re that stupid. And for the umpteenth time, I am not a registered Dem. I support Obama because he’s the least likely candidate to further destroy America by practicing the failed policies of the Bush Administration.

Pauly, writing in Fred Thompson’s name is a waste of a vote. Write in “Chuck Baldwin.”

Bill - thanks for the tip. Some of their positions seem a tad bit isolationist - but interesting. I’ll have to check them out some more. I wonder why these guys aren’t getting more air time? You’re right though - at least my vote would be for an actual candidate!
