I get the feeling the Dems are a bit scared now!
Wow! Ever since McCain announced his V.P. pick yesterday - all those guys on the left have been completely up in arms! Never have I seen everyone in the MSM and on the T.V. news so ready to jump on somebody as quickly as they jumped on Palin! She’s such the perfect pick they are just simply trying to make up stuff now and stretching things to find anything to make her look weak!
This from Paul Begala: Commentary: Is McCain out of his mind?
This from Barbara Boxer: Palin will not win Clinton supporters.
This from Virginia Delegates: VA. Democrats scoff at choice of Palin.
This from Marcus Baram/ABC News: Palin Could Be Deposed in Probe.
This from MSNBC: Palin under ethics investigation in Alaska.
I could fill up this blog and my server allocation with all the links coming out of the MSM news about Palin - all negative! They are at a point where they are grasping for straws at anything they can find to knock her down. The most common themes are - she is inexperienced, she comes from a small town, she governs a small state, she’s under investigation, etc.
1. She is NOT inexperienced. In fact - she is more experienced that Obama, McCain, and Biden! She oversees the third largest (editorial note: I stand corrected here by commentor #2 there: Alaska - location, size, and extent) state by landmass in this country! In other words, she is responsible for all activity that occurs there - the oil industry, the earthquakes, the volcanoes, the permafrost activity, etc. In addition, she has oversight of a multi-billion dollar budget! How much experience do any of the former have in maintaining a budget beyond making sure their wives aren’t spending all of their money?
2. Yes, she does come from a small town. Most of America is made up of small towns. Small town politics are no different from big-city politics. In fact, they have nuances that big-city politicians don’t ever have to deal with. Her small-town upbringing makes her the perfect choice since she isn’t influenced by all the glitter, glitz, and corruption of big-city politics. In addition, a small-town upbringing gives her stronger morals and values than those raised in a big-city where the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.
3. The ethics probe is a ruse. The accusation was made by Andrew Halco - the guy she defeated to become Governor. I wouldn’t put much stock in to the accusations coming from a guy who’s pissed about losing to a woman - the VERY FIRST WOMAN GOVERNOR of ALASKA.
It’s just fun watching these lefties and the Obama campaign scurry around like little cockroaches trying to dig around and find garbage where there isn’t any!
h/t to Vulcan’s Hammer for this one:
Best Comment I’ve heard today …at the supermarket regarding vice presidential candidates: “Compare Biden and Palin’s executive experience. Palin actually runs a government. Biden runs a tab in Georgetown bars.”

ummm please see in #1. she over sees the third largest state by landmass in the country…. UM WTF… im a republican and i support this post but whoever the f wrote it is dumb as a brick… alaska is the LARGEST state by more than 2 TIMES the next smallest one ahhhhh
please, don’t say that governor palin has more experience than joe biden.
lets compare shall we:
palin- 20 months as governor of the 3rd least populated state in the union.
biden- 36 years of service in the US senate and former Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary as well as former Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Foreign Relations.
Lionheart - wow! such love in your post there! Please do stop by again!
Warren - noted - please see correction - and thanks for the update! Never let it be said that I am not up to admitting my mistakes!!!
Dave - Okay - so - Biden has 36 years of experience as a SENATOR!!! There’s no comparison. He has 36 years of being bought (oh..don’t forget about plagiarizing as well). All of those career politicians are corrupt and only out for power. He has no budgetary monitoring experience..only tax and spend experience. He’s the type of individual that she will help to get the f*ck out of D.C. We don’t need his kind.
And, before you jump on the McCain thing - I lump his ass in there with them. I don’t really trust ANY career politician. Ergo - I’m not too enthused about McCain as the POTUS - but - willing to overlook that as Palin helps make up for that. She’s used to fighting corrupt politicians and that good ol boy network.
Biden has nothing on Palin but age. Puh leeze!
I agree with this post and am glad I came across it via blogg up. I am tired of hearing so many people who want to knock down McCain’s choice for VP, most likely because she is a woman, a republican and pro-life. McCain took a bold step by selecting her.
I do not think he used poor judgment and wish other women/moms in particular would look up to and appreciate what Sarah has accomplished as a mom and woman in politics. While I could not or would not do what she does, she is to be admired and looked up to. She shows great promise as the VP and who knows could give Hillary a definite run for her $ in 2012.
I will have to share your blog with a few other GOP supporters…while we may not all be 100% happy with all of McCain’s views, he definitely has the experience and integrity we need for this country! Palin makes up for anything McCain may lack.
-Littlebytes - thanks for sharing my little space on the sphere with others. It’s much appreciated! I have to agree with you as well - she does show great promise.
-Rebecca - Considering she went from councilwoman to mayor to Governor in a short time - I would most definitely say she is a quick study! What gets me is now they are trying to start rumors that her baby born in April is not actually hers, but that it’s a cover-up for her teen daughter. The rumor is that the baby really is her daughter’s and that there was no way that Sarah Palin could have been pregnant. These guys will make up anything!
-Chris - wow! I don’t even know what that means? That’s pretty funny - just like you can tell a Catholic from a Protestant just from looking at them right?
-Sharon - yes, indeedy - I think we were all blindsided - but - for us on the right - it was a pleasant surprise!!! And..thanks for subscribing.
She DID NOT try to get creationism taught in school. See the 2006 article on it:

Quoting:
In an interview Thursday, Palin said she meant only to say that discussion of alternative views should be allowed to arise in Alaska classrooms:
“I don’t think there should be a prohibition against debate if it comes up in class. It doesn’t have to be part of the curriculum.”
She added that, if elected, she would not push the state Board of Education to add such creation-based alternatives to the state’s required curriculum.
Hi Chris - thanks for adding that bit of information. It is very helpful. What the above commentors are referring to are the MoveOn.org talking points e-mail that was sent out to everyone. Lionheart just repeated what MoveOn.org stated. The problem with MoveOn’s talking points is that they took most of them from Wikipedia - which as we all know - is not very reliable. When it comes to reliability and scholarly sources - no colleges or universities in this country will accept any information taken from there.
