I think this speaks for itself!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Palin the HunterThis is a lady after my own heart! I shall reiterate - John McCain made a most excellent choice for a running mate. She’s OBVIOUSLY pro-2nd Amendment! (Gotta love that picture!) Once this picture really gets circulating around the ’sphere - its gonna drive those moonbats on the left even battier! She’s a hunter, a fisher, an athlete, and a solidly staunch Conservative!

Oh - and did I mention she looks really great in that pic!!!

Those moonbats are trying really hard this weekend to dig up any dirt possible on her. They’re having so much difficulty that they’re starting to make up stuff! Did you hear the latest rumor? Apparently, the baby that she had in April - well - it’s not hers. It’s a cover-up for her teen daughter. The innuendo and supposition is that the baby is really her daughter’s. Go figure? Is that the best they can come up with?

Nope - MoveOn.org issued an e-mail over the weekend with some talking points that totally exaggerate her positions on everything from abortion, gun control, and teaching creationism in public schools. She’s already one step ahead of them. She issued a statement the same day clarifying and setting the record straight.

The problem for the Dems is that nothing will stick to her. She’s a solid candidate with no skeletons (you know, like Obama and Biden). She has a mass appeal and once the convention ends come next weekend - we’re going to see a big bump go towards the McCain/Palin candidacy!

I think the most hypocritical statements are coming from the so-called feminists. Palin is the epitome of feminism. But, I guess because she doesn’t support abortion - she isn’t feminist enough! For cryin’ out loud! What’s a more sign of feminine freedom and independence from the man’s world than a woman who can field strip and accurately shoot a bad-boy like that?

Man - I want one of those guns!

I get the feeling the Dems are a bit scared now!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Wow!  Ever since McCain announced his V.P. pick yesterday - all those guys on the left have been completely up in arms!  Never have I seen everyone in the MSM and on the T.V. news so ready to jump on somebody as quickly as they jumped on Palin!  She’s such the perfect pick they are just simply trying to make up stuff now and stretching things to find anything to make her look weak!

This from Paul Begala: Commentary: Is McCain out of his mind?

This from Barbara Boxer: Palin will not win Clinton supporters.

This from Virginia Delegates: VA. Democrats scoff at choice of Palin.

This from Marcus Baram/ABC News: Palin Could Be Deposed in Probe.

This from MSNBC: Palin under ethics investigation in Alaska.

I could fill up this blog and my server allocation with all the links coming out of the MSM news about Palin - all negative!  They are at a point where they are grasping for straws at anything they can find to knock her down.  The most common themes are - she is inexperienced, she comes from a small town, she governs a small state, she’s under investigation, etc.

1. She is NOT inexperienced.  In fact - she is more experienced that Obama, McCain, and Biden!  She oversees the third largest (editorial note:  I stand corrected here by commentor #2 there: Alaska - location, size, and extent) state by landmass in this country!  In other words, she is responsible for all activity that occurs there - the oil industry, the earthquakes, the volcanoes, the permafrost activity, etc.  In addition, she has oversight of a multi-billion dollar budget!  How much experience do any of the former have in maintaining a budget beyond making sure their wives aren’t spending all of their money?

2. Yes, she does come from a small town.  Most of America is made up of small towns.  Small town politics are no different from big-city politics.  In fact, they have nuances that big-city politicians don’t ever have to deal with.  Her small-town upbringing makes her the perfect choice since she isn’t influenced by all the glitter, glitz, and corruption of big-city politics.  In addition, a small-town upbringing gives her stronger morals and values than those raised in a big-city where the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.

3.  The ethics probe is a ruse.  The accusation was made by Andrew Halco - the guy she defeated to become Governor.  I wouldn’t put much stock in to the accusations coming from a guy who’s pissed about losing to a woman - the VERY FIRST WOMAN GOVERNOR of ALASKA.

It’s just fun watching these lefties and the Obama campaign scurry around like little cockroaches trying to dig around and find garbage where there isn’t any!

h/t to Vulcan’s Hammer for this one:

Best Comment I’ve heard today …at the supermarket regarding vice presidential candidates: “Compare Biden and Palin’s executive experience. Palin actually runs a government. Biden runs a tab in Georgetown bars.”

McCain’s Brilliant Move!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

I’ve been hearing rumblings for the past few months about one Sarah Palin.  I have been following this woman for the past three months - the more I learned about her - the more I liked about her.  I was hoping that McCain would choose her - but - I really thought he was going to stick with the big guns like either Romney or Rudy.

I am Soooo happy that he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate.  This woman is the ultimate example of feminism, conservatism, integrity, personal responsibility, and is proof that if you want to achieve anything in this great country, all you have to do is work at it hard enough and it can be yours.

This was an absolutely brilliant strategy and choice for McCain.  Personally, I would vote for Sarah Palin before I would vote for McCain.  Given the fact that she is the Veep choice - I will most definitely vote for McCain just hoping Mrs. Palin gets in there - for the future!  I would like for her to be around when the next elections come around and she can run for the presidency.  I think she would make an awesome President considering everything that she has done for Alaska.  She is the ultimate self-made, self-less woman in politics - screw Nancy Pelosi!

This woman went from being a hockey mom on the local PTA to Councilwoman to Mayor to Governor and now VP Nominee.  What a true “Cinderella” story she has.  Both she and her husband come from working class families - parents were teachers and union members, she was a union member, her husband IS a union member, they are pro-life, hunters, fishers, sportsmen, and overall great people.

There are no skeletons in their closets.  To top it all off - her oldest son enlisted in the Army last 9/11 annniversary.  He’s headed to Iraq this 9/11 anniversary.  What more can you get for a Veep candidate?  By choosing Sarah Palin as his runningmate, I truly believe that McCain just wrapped up the Presidency.  Mrs. Palin alone can carry the woman’s vote, the pro-union vote, the working-class vote, the pro-life vote, the stay-at-home soccer mom vote, the military vote, and because she’s so smoking hot - the guy vote!

Having all this going for her - you think that would be it - she’s also NOT a D.C. insider.  In fact, she has done away with wasteful spending in Alaska almost entirely.  When that idiot Sen. Ted Stevens ear-marked those $millions for that bridge to nowhere - she personally told him - thanks, but no thanks “If we wanted to build a bridge in Alaska, we’ll build it ourselves.”  She doesn’t play politics.  She serves her fellow statesmen and people.  Now, she’s asking for us to vote for she and McCain so she can help serve the rest of this country!

I say - Hell Yeah!

Obama re-writing history already!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

If you remember, a couple months back, Michelle Obama told us all that Barack would force us all to change our culture and to change our history!  First, I love my culture and I love our history.  We don’t need to change anything!  Did anybody else hear Obama’s speech?  He’s already trying to change history.  I am getting so tired of that bullsh*! mantra from the left about our economy being in shambles and our image in the world is bad!  What load of B.S.!  Today, in fact, it was reported that our GDP grew 3.3%!!!!!

The only problem we are having right now is due to the obstructionist democrats in D.C. who refuse to allow us to drill and increase the oil supply on the market to reduce prices at the pump!  You can’t blame the mortgage problem on the administration.  That problem was caused by idiots who bought homes they knew they couldn’t afford.  Should we have to pay to bail those idiots out?  In fact, the national foreclosure rate is ONLY 0.7% of total households in this country!!! That is LESS than 1%.  Here’s why those idiot dems and Obama are saying we are having problems economically and lying to the public - Here’s another stat from that same article - this is the stuff they hit you with:

“…the national rate of foreclosure had increased by 79 percent in the previous year…” Oh…My…God!!!!!  79%!!!!  We’re in serious trouble!!!!  - well - that is until you actually READ what is in that article -

Since about 30 percent of all homes are owned mortgage-free, this means that for all the noise about a crisis, only seven-tenths of 1 percent of all homes are in foreclosure.

I suggest you go read the rest of that article. So, if there was a 79% increase, that means that foreclosures last year was only at 0.55%!!! Obama’s speech tonight was filled with half-truths and blatant lies as it relates to this economy. Every single economic indicator is showing growth. You can check them out here at The Bureau of Labor Statistics - including the fact that the average hourly wage in this country is $17.96 - that is $37,358.80 annually (WELL above the poverty limit).

He also lied about Bush not cutting taxes for over 100 million people in this country! Well - when 40% of this country at those lower levels of pay don’t actually pay any taxes - it’s kind of hard to get a tax cut isn’t it? There was over $100 billion paid out in refunds for tax year 2007 in direct deposits.  DIRECT DEPOSITS.  That doesn’t include those who received manual checks.  The actual total refunds for all taxpayers who submitted a return ins $117.078 Billion!  There were 45,420,000 returns submitted in 2007.  There are 300 Million people in this country, not all of them here legally, and not all of them paying taxes in to the system due to their status.  That $117 Billion in refunds represents just those who actually paid TOO MUCH in to the system.  In that so-called 100 million who did not get a tax break are those p/t working college and high school students who don’t make more than $5,000 a year and aren’t required to file a return because they didn’t pay anything.

Lastly - the only one’s in this world who see the U.S. unfavorably are either socialist nations (Europe), communist nations (Cuba, China, N. Korea, Russia - yes, I said Russia), Radical Theocracies (Iran, Syria), Dictators (Libya, Venezuela), Islamic Kingdoms, or have corrupt governments.  Everyone WE want as allies favor us wholeheartedly. I don’t really give a rat’s ass about Europe these days - they are not the model for the world to emulate - they are increasingly proving further that socialism does not work.  They just hate us because we don’t subscribe to wealth redistribution or the global warming hoax as a nation.

But - if you really believe Obama - then - be prepared to host dictators, communist leaders, and radical islamofascists in the whitehouse on a regular basis.  Get used to higher taxes and less personal income.  Be prepared to give a piece of your pie to others as Michelle Obama would have it.

Barack is a Snake Oil salesman - lots of class, charm, and charisma, but as deadly as poison!

The Ad Obama DOESN’T Want YOU To See!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

The Obama camp, as we speak, is trying to have this ad pulled from being aired.  Luckily, the broadcasters are refusing to pull it.  They REALLY don’t want you to see this so badly in fact that they have taken this to the courts to have an injunction placed from airing it any further.  Why doesn’t Obama want you to know the TRUTH?

Afterall, isn’t he applying for a job with the American people?  I know that every job I have ever been considered for required a background check and references.  Do you think if my employer(s) found out that I have a good friend who tried to blow up the pentagon and police stations they would hire me?  Do you think any of those employers would hire me if they found out that I had ties to a convicted slum lord?  What do you think my employers would think of me if they knew that I went to a radicalised church and associated my self with pastors who preach hate against black people?  Do you think they would consider I might be racist, which is completely against all EEOC laws?

When you are running for the highest office of this country - YOUR BACKGROUND AND ASSOCIATIONS MATTER!  So - if it hasn’t aired in your locale yet - here’s that ad.

Remember as you view this - it doesn’t matter that Obama is trying to play off his association by saying this stuff occurred when he was 8 years old. The fact of the matter is that in the days after the 9/11 attacks - Obama’s friend here said, in an interview with the New York Times, when asked about his admission to the bombings, “We didn’t do enough.” He is unrepentant about his crimes against this country. Obama is friends with this guy. Obama served on the board of the Robert Woods foundation with him. Obama kicked off his campaign at a fundraiser at this guy’s home. Do you really want someone who associates with people like this as YOUR President? I know I don’t!

There’s a tear in my beer!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Okay - so I am crying in my beer a bit here - okay - alot! ….so much so that it took me almost a whole day to get over that DNC Convention!  I really was hoping for the 1968 Convention all over again with a roll-call uprising!!!  I guess it just wasn’t to be. Ehhh…at least we had the protester thing!

I think what is the most disappointing about that whole DNC Convention is the fact that next week’s Republican National Convention is going to really suck compared to the Dems.  There’s absolutely nothing to report!  Republicans are soooo boring sometimes it even puts me to sleep!  Considering it’s being held in one of the most liberal cities in this country - I would HOPE there’s going to be some major protesting there to get some action!  But - I think the cops in Minneapolis may be a little more liberal than those guys in Denver - one can only hope!

Anyway - just wanted to leave you all with this little cartoon that I found!  Pretty good if I do say so myself

Code Pink Crybabies!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Okay - this is just too funny!  I was going to talk a little bit about Michelle Obama’s speech - but - I figure that’s probably been done to death by now!  We know, we know - it was all teleprompted…she gives great speeches…but if she has to give a speech on her own, somehow it comes back to how much she actually hates this country despite the fact she received a standing ovation the other night for stating she loves this country!  Hoo rah!

I was also going to talk about Ted Kennedy’s speech.  First - I give the guy credit for actually showing up and giving his speech given his condition.  But, really?  He pretty much turned the place in to a “cry-fest” and using the old sympathy card to try and score points for Obama.  Way to go, Teddy!  Been down to the Chappaquidic lately?

But - then I came across this video…so awesome!  Those Code Pink loonies finally getting it thrown back at ‘em!

Poor widdle pinky got twone down on da gwound! Oh Boo Hoo Hoo!  Cry Maybe she should have stayed where she was supposed to!  Notice the great hockey check!  Then - to top it off - she gets arrested!!!!

Anyway, being a strong supporter of our military - I really hate these whacko loonies that protest our injured soldiers.  They’re almost as bad as Phelps’whacked out church!  I’m sure someone out there is crying police brutality - but - hey - does anybody else out there think she deserved this?

I vote - YES! Laughing

The DNC Love-Fest Begins!!!

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Well - Howard “Scream” Dean opened up The Denver Convention today talking about the “strength and unity” of the party! That’s pretty funny considering the way they tore each other apart during the primaries. They even had to concede and put Shillary Clinton on the ballot for nomination. Sure - that’s “strength and unity” with a shotgun to the head!

But! Considering the show of love between the Obama/Biden families - maybe there’s some strength and unity after all! NOT! Perhaps there is some real “passion” there! While Senator Biden is hugging and give the little cheek “peck” check out Obama and Mrs. Biden!!!! Woo! Why don’t the two of you just go and get yourselves a room already! Hmmm…got the theme of that movie Jungle Fever running through my head for some reason.

Personally, I can’t wait to see what happens on Wednesday! This is “roll-call” night! This may be the night where Hillary pulls off the upset considering that almost half of her supporters have already vowed NOT to vote for Obama. Now, considering the fact that she wasn’t even vetted for the Veep position - I wonder how many of her delegate supporters who previously said they would give the nod to Obama will back out?

Stay tuned!

Biden criticizes Obama?

Published by BobO under politics Edit This

Wow!  The McCain camp wasted no time in getting their ads out there regarding Biden!  This one is actually a pretty good one.  Kinda makes you wonder two things - 1 - Why did Obama actually choose Biden as his Vice President, and 2.) Why would Biden even consider running with Obama?

Like I said - this is going to be one very interesting election! I have a feeling this is tame compared to what is coming down the pike here! Let’s see what happens during the convention - it won’t surprise me at all if there are some great ads from both sides coming out of the convention (at least based on some of the topics and events going on there!)

Doesn’t Look Like Biden helped him!

Clinton supporters split over Biden as VP

By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER, AP

DENVER -Hillary Rodham Clinton’s supporters had mixed reactions Saturday to the selection of Joe Biden as the Democrats’ vice presidential candidate.

That’s not really surprising considering the latest polls show that 25% of Hillary supporters have already decided they were going to vote for McCain and 51% have stated they disapprove of Obama.

Some realized a long time ago that Barack Obama, the party’s presumptive nominee for president, was not going to pick Clinton as his running mate. Others held out hope until they awoke to the announcement Saturday morning.

Susan Castner, a Clinton delegate from Portland, Ore., said she sees some of Clinton’s qualities in Biden. She likes his experience, especially on foreign policy.

“It really kind of humanizes Barack Obama,” Castner said. “He has this air of perfection, and Joe Biden is more down to earth.”"I love his passion,” Castner said of Biden. “I like him a lot.”

Hmmm…”humanizes Barack Obama” and “He has an air of perfection.”  Sure - these are qualities we need in a President!  A perfect inhuman president - what is he then - A Zero?

Some of Clinton’s supporters were less charitable.

“It’s a total diss to Sen. Clinton, in my opinion,” said Diane Mantouvalos, co-founder of the Just Say No Deal Coalition. “It just speaks volumes about how Barack Obama doesn’t stand for anything.”

Wow!  That’s pretty harsh Ms. Mantouvalos - I guess you dislike The One as much as we Conservatives!

Mantouvalos, of Miami, is part of an Internet movement of Clinton supporters who refuse to back Obama, regardless of pleas from Clinton herself. Mantouvalos is in Denver, where the Democratic National Convention is scheduled to start Monday, stoking anti-Obama sentiment.

Awesome!

She said the selection of a Washington insider undermines Obama’s call for change.
“It was a desperate move,” Mantouvalos said.

Hey! That’s what we’re saying here as well!  Are you sure you aren’t a Conservative Ms. Mantouvalos?

John West, a Clinton volunteer during the primaries, said he’s not excited about Biden, but he had little hope that Clinton would get the nod.

“Most people feel that if she wanted to press to be vice president, she would have made a bigger push for it,” said West, of Chicago.

West has been working with Clinton delegates to have her name placed in nomination at the convention, with a roll call vote — a vote that was agreed to by both Obama and Clinton.

Yup - I would say there’s something going on behind the scenes with the Clinton machine!!!!  Like I said in the previous post - this is going to be a great spectacle to watch next week!
